Even though Dukes Court Buckingham was only going to be a microsite for promotion of a small but exclusive development of luxury apartments, Spinbox still approached this project with the same level of care and attention which we give to all of our projects. The first step to this was meeting with our client to really understand what they wanted this project to deliver. Though modern communication methods are great (web conferencing, email, Skype…) we find there’s nothing like a good old fashioned chin wag to really discover what a client’s looking for.
Brief in hand we moved into design stage. Aldwyck Housing Group already had a look and feel in mind, having worked with an offline creative agency to produce brochures and flyers for the Dukes Court development. The challenge to Spinbox was reproduce this look and feel online, but then throw in some real wow factor too. Naturally our proposed design was loved by the client, and they were delighted to find some great concepts in there like video content embedded into the homepage and Google Maps integrated into the design.
The latest front end coding techniques were used in the build for Dukes Court Buckingham, with CSS3 and HTML5 employed to maximise the creative potential offered by modern web browsers, with graceful fall back for legacy browsers to ensure that a consistent experience was presented to all visitors. Fully responsive for mobile devices too we ensured that this site delivered a first class user experience regardless of device.
Even though this was just a short project for us (from brief to go live took just two weeks) Spinbox still employed agile methodology to ensure that this project delivered on schedule and to budget whilst still allowing our client to input into the change process to ensure they got the microsite they were looking for.
