When nobody else can solve it, hire Spinbox! Aviva came to Spinbox to assist them with their redevelopment of Aviva for Advisors after a move to Sitefinity CMS.
Aviva had already produced rich designs but required a crack team of web developers to deliver the functionality they desired, this is what led them to us. As a Sitefinity Platinum Partner, Spinbox were well placed to use our in-depth knowledge of the platform to deliver a rich solution which met Aviva’s business needs.
The Solution Solution
As an early adopter of Sitefinity MVC framework, Aviva required a team of Sitefinity specialists to work alongside their existing development team.
Amongst some of the highly beneficial features which Spinbox implemented for Aviva was a custom workflow package which allowed definition of approval processes for user uploaded publications and logging and reporting features to ensure accuracy and traceability of published content.
Due to the dynamic nature of their business and the website which supports it, Aviva needed a solution which allowed them access to a historical view of web content. Through custom development Spinbox were able to develop a caching module which took a snapshot of a page each time it was changed and allowed Sitefinity administrators to view previous versions of that page so that they knew exactly what was displayed and when, long after content had been overwritten.
Delivery of this historical view of published content lead to development of another great feature on the Aviva for Advisors site. Spinbox also built the functionality to schedule updates to web pages and preview what this content would look like prior to being set live. This allowed Aviva to plan content changes and trust in the quality of content being published without having to test once live.
